With the start of the academic year, webcasts with the full choir of St. Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, New York have just resumed. You can listen to five services a week streamed from their website, www.stthomaschurch.org: Choral Eucharist and Evensong on Sundays and Evensong on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I warmly recommend them.

St Thomas’ is the only church with its own choir school in North America – cathedrals across the Atlantic do not maintain them – and it offers services to the highest standard, both liturgically and musically. Under Dr John Scott, formerly organist of St. Paul’s Cathedral, they easily equal, if not excel, the calibre of many of the major Anglican foundations in this country.
